Arrow was in a shelter in Cedar Rapids. Waverly Pet Rescue took him in to help them have room for other dogs. He is now living in a foster home. He is up to date on shots, tested heartworm negative, and is neutered.
Arrow is a sweet 10 year old lab and weighs about 65 pounds. He is housetrained and loves people! Arrow sits and lays down and will put his front paws in your hands when you stand in front of him and say "up". He loves water and loves to play outside. Arrow stays in the yard when outside and doesn't go on the road. Arrow is an affectionate and loving dog. He is completely housetrained and wants to be with you whenever he can. Arrow likes to go outside so he can run and play and then he comes right back in when called. He stays in the yard and barks when someone comes in but stops once they are in and then he is looking for attention. Arrow knows how to sit, shake, and stand. Arrow likes other dogs and he ignores the cats. He is careful around the kids not to knock them over. Arrow does like to be the dominant dog in the home so if there is another dog in the home please be aware that there will be a couple weeks of him attempting to be dominant over the other dog. He growls to show his dominance and if you give him a simple "no", he stops. Arrow is a great dog and is very sweet and loving. He wants to be your right hand man.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501 C 3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter yet. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to Email Waverly Pet Rescue at the bottom of this page. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
