He is A tall boy with a sleek frame. Arthur was found running loose in a field in Rigaud ,Quebec off of the western tip of the island and brought to our clinic . He was limping so we took x-rays and saw that he had a previous knee surgery that placed pins in his knee. He also had a badly healed hip fracture. We did surgery to help repair the hip and he went into a foster home to recuperate. Someone must have loved this dog once because the knee surgery that had already been performed would have cost about $1000.00. SO HOW IN THE WORLD DID A GREAT DOG LIKE THIS END UP RUNNING LOOSE AND IN PAIN? Debbie is Arthur's Foster Mom and she says he is a very special boy. GREAT with people and GREAT with other dogs.He is very loving and easy to have around. He is clean in the house and is fine left alone for several hours but cannot be left in a crate or cage as it would limit his movement. Arthur needs daily Physiotherapy for about 15 minutes to help his hip and knee heal.This involves you doing a few short stretching exercises with him.He would also benefit from regular leash walks to build his muscles. We don't know if he will ever be a dog suited to agility, but he would make an amazing family pet and companion. ARTHUR IS NEUTERED AND HIS VACCINES ARE UP TO DATE
