Astro is one of a litter of seven pit-mix puppies that were removed, with their mom, from a neglectful owner. Despite a poor start to life, all these gorgeous babies are doing well, and if mom Ada's temperament is anything to go by they will be real lovebugs. They are now living in a foster home, where they are receiving good food and lots of loving attention, to ensure they are healthy and well-socialized. We estimate their date of birth to be around March 3rd.
Astro is a healthy, playful little boy, and will probably grow to be a bit bigger than his mom, who weighs 50 lbs. Mom is a smallish, lightly-built Pit Bull mix, probably mixed with American Bulldog or Boxer, but we have no idea what dad may have been. Based on this pup's looks, we guess he might have been a bully breed or Boxer mix as well.
Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, Astro will come to you microchipped, up-to-date on shots, and treated for internal parasites. His $225 adoption fee includes the cost of sterilization and rabies shot at about six months. Sterilization is a condition of adoption.
