My Story

7/11/07 - Bailey has been trained to the invisible fence, he loves to swim and is fine with children. A great dog who loves to run. 6/7/07 - Bailey is now in a foster home in Whitehouse Station, NJ and has been neutered. I'd say he is about 55 lbs. He was micro-chipped at the shelter, seems to be about age 1. Just to let you know, he's a jumper! We have a four foot high fence and he clears it with no problem! As for knowing his name, he usually comes when called. I think with a little obedience training he would be a wonderful dog. He doesn't follow any basic commands such as sit, stay, etc. He does know the word "no" if said firmly. He also likes to make himself right at home on the bed. Tries to take it over. He is housebroken His story is, his owner let him run loose and neighbors were going to call the police, so instead of getting fined for letting his dog run loose, he was turned into the SPCA. He rode well in the car. He seems fine with other dogs wants to be alpha dog and fine with teenage children. We aren't sure about cats. Not good with small dogs and he did somehow climb/jump our 6 ft. chain link kennel, so will need either invisible fence, 6 ft. stockade fence or someone who will walk him on leash. An application, vet reference, home visit and a drive to NJ a must to meet our dogs! Adoption fee required. Will be neutered prior to adoption or must be neutered within 30 days of adoption.
