Bartok

Bartok is a sweet little guy with a lot to love. About 26 lbs and 10 mo., we don't know his breed but he looks a bit like a little black fawn with such thin legs and super-big ears. He is very poised and calm for a puppy but does love to play. He wants so badly to tussle with the dogs in his foster home but they are old and cranky and just growl at him (to which he just rolls on his back and wags his paws in the air). He really needs a home with a yard and a playmate (canine OR human would do). He is good with kids and other dogs and while initially quite fascinated with cats, is learning that they have their place too. He wants a lot of love and attention, but is very quiet and gentle. He is housebroken and walks well on a leash.

This organization is run by volunteers only and we try our best to save as many homeless pets as possible. Since there are only a few volunteers, please understand that we are unable to answer phone calls about the animals. The first step is to fill out an adoption application which you can find on the Pet Rescue website: www.ny-petrescue.org and we will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 5 days. Pet Rescue doesn't have a shelter where you can come and meet the dogs. All showings are by appointment after your application has been approved.
