Bella was callously turned into the local kill shelter by her owners because they were expecting their 2^nd child – where almost all owner surrenders are instantly taken to euthanasia – unless they are super cute and friendly they may make it into adoption only if there is kennel space available.  Bella was out of luck – she was scared to death and huddled in a corner under the chair – not a good candidate for adoption in a noisy kennel. Lucky for her the rescue coord likes Border Collies and called us to plead with us to find room for this sweet girl.  So here she is – Bella is about 1 yr old, fully vetted pup.  She is house trained, knows how to use the dog door and gets along with other dogs.  She does have the Border Collie attitude and will strive to keep the dogs all inline by nipping at their legs.  Bella is a very easy dog to take care of!  She is not demanding, she is not noisy or obnoxious – she is a low maintenance dog!!  We can not figure out why having another child would make her owners turn this great little dog into a kill shelter….
