The spring weather has wafted someone wonderful our way . . . Miss Breezie! She’s a darling, petite two year old girl who weighs about 55 pounds. When we first met Breezie she was curled up in a little ball on a towel on the cold cement floor of a shelter. She was so shy and scared that the shelter folks called us right away to her rescue.
What a little gem she is! Our volunteer photographer who met her at her foster mom’s home reports: “She is too cute for words!! As you may know, she's shy of strangers AT FIRST. It took her about 5 minutes to warm up to me but after that she was just fine – engaging, fun and playful! Her foster mom said she's pretty shy of men.
“She’s housetrained, sits for treats (hotdogs) but more than food, she loves her balls and her toys. She appears to be a tireless fetcher, without being totally obsessed. She's perfect on a leash. She did jump up on me a time or two after we became friends, but she was as light as a feather. Her foster mom said she is extremely fond of her crate and is crated when she leaves. She sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom, and doesn't get on furniture.”
Breezie gets along well with other dogs and has always lived with a canine brother. She’s a sensitive soul who’s a bit head shy and may not have had the kindest treatment in the past, but she’s certainly shown us how she blossoms in a loving home.
So find a pretty leash, a bed fit for a princess and some balls to toss for your new love, Miss Breezie!
