Brutus

My name is Brutus! The vet says I weigh around 90lbs and I am about 2 years old. The nice people at GDFRL say I am a Great Dane/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. Whew that’s a mouth full. Anyway I was really sick with an upper respiratory infection when I came here from the shelter. My foster mom took me to the vet and I am feeling much better now. As if feeling bad wasn’t enough, my coat looked awful and I was a bit nervous. I am feeling much more relaxed now and my foster family has brushed me a lot since I have been here, which I really love. My coat is looking shiny now and my foster mom tells me all the time how handsome I am. My main goal each day is to be petted. I will sit at your feet with my head in your lap as long as you will let me. I didn’t know what they were at first but have learned that toys, as they are called, are a LOT of fun. I carry one with me just in case someone wants to play. I also like to play ball outside with the little girl who lives in the house. I sleep in a crate at night and while the family is gone. I think with some time I will be able to sleep out of the crate, but for now I don’t mind it, it’s pretty roomy. I don’t use the bathroom in the house, and I will sit and lay down. I live with 2 Great Danes, 1 Havanese and 1 cat. That cat smacked me really hard when I first got here, so I leave her alone now.(meany) My foster mom says I am the sweetest boy ever and that one day I will have a forever home with some lucky people. It’s great here, but I can’t wait for that day to come. Brutus' adoption fee is $150

We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs), that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family.
