Buck

Buck was found out on the road during the coldest weather we've had, single digits and sub-zero windchill. He was emaciated and starved, he was limping on one of his front legs and could barely stand. He had some wounds on his back buttocks. When he came in he lay down on the blankets in his kennel and just didn't move for several days except to eat which he did ravenously a number of times a day. He didn't stand up to eat but just ate lying down. He gradually started to gain back some strength and weight, his energy returned along with his trust and love of people. He began playing with our other dogs and wanting more attention, he started to go outside for exercise and has grown into a beautifully sleek pure breed Boxer with a very sweet disposition. Buck is ready to go to a new home now, he has passed the recuperative stage and deserves a home that would appreciate the gentle spirit of this dog who has obviously been through so much and still retained his good nature and trust in human nature. Buck does well with other dogs and children. He is somewhat aggressive to cats. He is kennel trained very well, but not housetrained. He still needs to be neutered.
