"Hi my name is Carmel, and I am sweet and sticky just like candy!! Playful and loving, I always want to be with my people. I love to be on your lap, and I love my toys!! I mean, I can tear into those things like a dog 10 times my size!! I am currently in a foster home without kids, but I did spend some time previously with a family that had a 10 and 13 year old, and I was snuggly and loving with them! I am fairly quiet, but like most dogs I will definitely let you know when someone is at the door and especially if the house is about to be robbed by those crazy humans in uniform, aka delivery people!! I am currently in a foster home as an only dog, but I spent some time in a home with 3 other small dogs. They tolerated me acting like I owned the place. However, not all dogs like my all-about-me manner in their homes. My foster mom is home quite a bit, but when she does leave I have been staying in a closed room while getting used to her place. I can handle a crate if you include something interesting to chew on, but I am working on earning trust to gain full reign of the house! I don't like to brag, but I walk pretty nicely on a leash. I love to bark at any dog or human that walks by, and my foster mom is working with me on this - she keeps my attention with lots of treats and praise when I am a good girl and ignore the passersby! Speaking of treats - man I just LOVE those things! Any kind - big or small, soft or crunchy. Treats are the key to my heart, and If you approach me the proper way when we first meet and give me lots of them, I will be your bestest girl forever and ever!! So what do you say?
