Carmella

Carmella (Baby) is a very sweet, timid pitty/shar pei mix who likely has some lab and/or Chesapeake bay retriever in her (she has webbed toes!). We are working hard on leash walking and she is gaining confidence every day. She is a great office dog - she comes to work with me every day and curls up on her bed and chews a bone very quietly. She is puppy pad trained (all most 100%) so perfect for office when you can't keep your eye on her every second. She is doing very well with potty training at home - she responds well to positive affection reinforcement and is learning basic commands (sit and lie down coming along well - stay is not yet in her vocab). She does not like her crate, even though we are trying our best at crate training. She would not do well if she needs to be in a crate for long periods alone - she has a loud bark, so wouldn't be great for apartment dwellers. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard with lots of room to run and play. She has a lot of energy, especially around her foster brother and sister - so she will need lots of play time/walking to make sure she uses her energy in a positive way.
