Chace is a pretty much perfect dog, other than the fact that he needs to go to a home without small children. He loves other dogs, and is totally housetrained and crate trained. He is a total snuggle bug, and is a "velcro dog" - he follows his people everywhere!!! He also really great with cats. He has a 19 year old cat in his foster home who adores him and enjoys cuddling up to him. He is so gentle and sweet!
Chace has arrived to his foster home in New England! His foster Mom can't get over how handsome he is, and how gorgeous his coat is. Chace has a lovely chocolate brown coat with some blonde highlights - the kind of look people pay good money at a salon for ;) Chase is between 12 and 18 months, and is 80 pounds. He LOVES the female dogs in his foster home, and adores people. Chase will come over and sit nicely in front of you for attention, or sometimes will stand up in front of you and wrap his arms around you for a huge hug. He doesn't jump to try to barrel you over - just for some affection! Chase has white marks on his chest and adorable white feet. His fur is slightly longer than a typical lab coat. His eyes are a gorgeous golden color.
Chace is a typical lab - he loves food, loves to play, loves toys....loves pretty much everything! He likes to lay on the couch and cuddle, and is a really laid back boy in the house. He gives lots of kisses! Chace is housebroken and doesn't seem to have any bad manners like chewing, barking or counter surfing. He comes when you call him and should learn commands really easily, given how motivated by food he is! He likes to toys toys in the air for himself and will bat tennis balls with his paws like a soccer ball. Chace walks really well on a leash. He does find squirrels really interesting, and pulled a bit when he saw one, but that's pretty typical! He also seems to really enjoy playing with his reflection in doorways as he walks by them. He's a funny guy!!
Chace does have some separation anxiety, though he does fine in a crate. Because of this, ideally, we would like to place him into a home where someone is home for most of the day (either work from home, are retired, work part time, etc). He will thrive with this set up and you will have a grateful, amazing, loving companion forever!
Chace is neutered, up to date on all of his shots, has been dewormed, and is even microchipped.
