Charlie

Charlie is a handsome buff male Cocker Spaniel. He is an older Cocker Spaniel with a lot of spunk. Charlie was found wandering the streets in circles with no where to go, hungry and thirsty until someone brought him to a local shelter. Charlie remained at the shelter for several weeks, though he was safe there temporarily, he was extremely frightened. I guess he knew eventually his time would run out. Sadly it did, as nobody was interested in adopting him because he is a senior. Imagine when you get old, you are discarded and no one wants you. I guess they figured Charlie lived about 10 years, he doesn't deserve a second chance. Well we don't know Charlie's story. He could have been loved, maybe his owner died, or maybe he wasn't loved at all. To see him curled up in a ball shaking was enough for me. So we decided to rescue Charlie from death's door. I do believe this sweet boy has quite a few years ahead of him. I believe rescue is not just about saving the young, healthy, beautiful ones, it's about saving the old and sick as well. I don't believe a dog should die because they are older. If they have the will to live then they should. Anyway, we have Charlie. He is a very nice boy, quiet yet playful, happy and friendly. He enjoys going for walks and playing tug with his leash. Charlie is at our Vet's being checked out. He appears to be in very good health. Charlie knows he was rescued, but he doesn't know whether he will ever have a home. Please if you have room in your heart to let Charlie in, I know this sweet boy will be so grateful until the day he dies. Please don't pass him by just because he is old, one day you and I will be old, imagine if no one wanted us.
