Chesapeake was surrendered to the shelter by his former owner. He caught the eye of one of our fosters who loves the silver sweeties, and she scooped him to safety. Chesapeake immediately made himself at home and integrated himself in the day to day life with the other dogs. Chesapeake is well mannered around the house, rides well in the car and is pretty low key. He would prefer a home that is on the more mellow side with not a ton of coming and going and he’s not a fan of kitty cats. Chesapeake loves to give kisses and is pretty social with new people he meets after a tiny warm up. He would benefit from a little one on one leash work and confidence building. He’s super food motivated and will happily take chicken or cheese as a special treat. Chesapeake is a 7 years 26 lb Dachshund mix. He’s going to make a wonderful addition for a family looking for a salt and pepper sweetie. Could that be you?
