My Story

Meet Clipper (a.k.a. Clippy) : Your Future Best Friend! About Clipper: Clipper, affectionately known as Clippy, is a charming hound mix with a heart full of love and a spirit full of play. This sweet boy is a bit shy, so he thrives best with another dog companion and a family who can provide him with company. Personality: Clippy is a talker more than a barker, he has the cutest Roos and sass you've ever heard! Although shy at first, he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate side. He's good with kids and loves to play, sometimes his puppy traits get the best of him and will accidentally nip on his dog friend Honey Bun's ears. Training and Habits: Potty Training: Clippy is doing well with his potty training. He has had an occasional pee accident in his crate if we aren't monitoring for his subtle signs yet only does his number two business outdoors. Crate: He loves his crate but insists on having his bed inside. Without it, he'll cry all day and night since he's grown accustomed to the comfort. Leash: He's great on a leash and enjoys his walks, always ready to explore but cautious around strangers until trust is established. Playtime: Clippy is always up for playtime, especially with soft toys, balls, and bones. He can be a bit possessive over his toys, giving a fair warning when he doesn't want to share. Cuddles and Comfort: Clipper is a big cuddler. He loves to jump on couches, snuggle, and watch TV with you. Despite his energetic nature, he has a very chill side, often grabbing a toy to relax in his crate. He's in his chewing stage, favoring blankets, which he suckles on them for comfort without tearing them up. Exercise Needs: Clippers thrives on doggy playtime, enjoys walks and loves practicing new training skills and tricks! These all help keep his body active along with his brain developing! He's smart, the puzzle toys are amazing to watch his wheels turn to figure them out! The fun ends once he does, as he masters them quickly! Ideal Home: Clippy would do best in a home with another dog and a family that can spend plenty of time with him. A yard to play in and comfortable bed is a must, along with a routine to help him to continue to learn. Health: Clippy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations and preventatives.
