THIS IS NOT YOUR GRANDMA’S LAPDOG…. Although Coco is a 5 year old 10lb Poodle/Bichon mix he is not your typical foo-foo lapdog. He has received interest but this boy needs to go to a very special home where he will be able to succeed. Coco came into the shelter as an emergency surrender. He was literally living his life on a short leash bound to a kitchen chair. His previous life has shaped him into the pup he is today. Coco has possession issues. He loves his toys and his food, so much so that he doesn’t always like sharing with humans. To combat his issues Coco needs a very structured home routine and humans that can clearly communicate what they expect from him. His foster mom has set a solid foundation for Coco, but it is essential that his forever family continues building on this training foundation. Outside of the home Coco is a natural socialite. He loves all people, pups, and will happily greet them with a wagging tail. He enjoys his strolls through the park, and absolutely lives to attend social events. Coco seems to be his happiest and absolute best self when outside the home socializing. When he isn’t out meeting new friends Coco loves to go for hikes, walks, play fetch or run around the backyard with his canine friends. Although he is 5 years old Coco is still a very active pup, and it is essential that he gets enough exercise in his daily routine. So no Coco is not your grandma’s lapdog. He is not some purse puppy, and certainly is not for the faint of heart. The humans of his past did wrong by him and set him up to fail in just about any home environment. His foster is working hard to combat his past and now Coco is looking for a forever family that will give him the same chance.
