**PLEASE GO TO OUR HOME PAGE TO FILL OUT THE ONLINE APPLICATION! Cody was being boarded at a vet office when his owner ended up in the hospital. His owner died. So the vet office and the owner's family is trying to find him a new home. They called Waverly Pet Rescue for help. He is still at the vet office right now since we are full. When we have an opening, we will take him in. He is available to adopt too! Would love to see him go right from the vet office into a new home! He is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, housetrained, and neutered.
Cody is a purebred chow and will be 10 years old in March. He weighs about 60 pounds. He is a wonderful dog! He has the typical chow personality. We do know he gets along with dogs at the dog park. He was born with a deformity in his back right leg / hip he walks and runs fine but it may occationally cause stiffness. It is pretty likely he will need medication for it in the furture. He is not aggressive at all but does prefers owner grooming or to be put under for grooming.
We are also willing to transfer him to any Chow rescue out there who would like to take him in. Please just email me!
Will someone please adopt Cody and let this old boy live out the rest of his life in a nice home? $20.00 adoption fee.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501 C 3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter yet. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to Email Waverly Pet Rescue at the bottom of this page. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
