Hello, I'm Cola, and you might recognize me! I was discovered with my furry friend, Murphy, back in February. We were both so undernourished that it took some time for the caring team at LPHS to nurse us back to health. After getting us back on our paws, we both found loving homes. However, I returned to the shelter due to my tendency to guard resources like food and my favorite person in the house. I do this out of fear of uncertainty about my next meal or losing my loved one again. It can be challenging for neglected dogs like me to trust and feel safe in a loving home that ensures we never go hungry.
If you have room in your home and heart for a sweet boy like me, I would be thrilled to meet you! I enjoy the company of other dogs and children over the age of 15 or so. It will take patience and training to help me overcome my past, but the team at LPHS has an array of resources and trainers they can recommend to make the adoption process a success.
