Dog Name: Corey Breed: American Bulldog mix Sex: male Age: 3 Weight: 80lbs Medical Needs: currently heartworm positive. Has hw treatment scheduled at Avenue Vet in Milford. Appointments are scheduled for July 15th and 16th at 2pm. Keeping these appointments is a condition of adoption. Due to these appointments, adopter must live within 1 hour of Milford and agree to keeping them. Housebroken: yes Crate trained: yes Good in the car: yes Good on a leash: yes, he walks very well without distractions. We are still working on when other dogs are in view. Energy level: pretty low, but I expect he'll perk up when he's heartworm free. He likes to play in short bursts. Need a fenced in yard: no Dog Friendly: If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Yes, he does get very excited at first and is a little pushy but has been fine so far with our 2 dogs. One large and one small. I think he would be fine on his own or with other dogs. Cat Friendly? Don't have any cats in the home, so unsure. Kid Friendly: If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Yes! He wants to play with my son more than anyone else. He is a big boy and can play rough. I would suggest 8-9 years old. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Corey is super smart!! He picks up on things very very quickly and is food motivated. He loves to play with toys and especially chase the ball. I think he would be a great candidate for someone looking for a partner to do advanced training with. I think he would excel at dog sports like rally.
