This young man is between 1 and 2 years old and has fallen on some hard times. Running loose and left to fend for himself he wound up being picked up by animal control and we swooped in to his rescue.
Curly Rick got his name from his abundant, thick, curly hair.
Curly Rick is also an olympic high-jump wannabee, he can clear a 4' hot wire fence without breaking a sweat and because of his gold medal aspirations will require a home with a very secure fence of at least 6' (maybe wooden stockade). He is learning to respect the hot wire fence but to be safe the 6' would be preferred.
He will walk on a leash (and he is pretty good about it) , but he likes to jump and in particular on you asking for attention. We are proud of him though, he has learned to exercise restraint and rarely jumps on us now.
CR does not tolerate other male dogs well, he is fine with a harem of females but please he must be the only man of the hour.
Curly Ricky is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on shots, heartworm and flea medication.
Curly Ricky is an exceptional Great Pyrenees dog who has been selected for sponsorship by National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR). He is currently being fostered out of our area and NGPR will arrange for his transport to an approved home. Please fill out our adoption form and tell us in the comments section why you would like to adopt him.
