Darwin

** January 2008 ** Sadly, 10 months after Darwin was adopted from our shelter here, he has been surrendered back to us due to the owners moving. We all feel sorry for him that he is back at the shelter, waiting for his forever home again. Darwin is a sweet and lovely boy with a goofy attitude towards life. He loves all kinds of people and is good with other pets, dogs or cats. He knows all of his basic commands and is fully housetrained. He is fine to be left in a home on his own during the day as he is well behaved and does not chew. Darwin does like to be in charge so an owner with a firm attitude will be needed, as he is quite a lot of dog! If you are interested in a unique friendly guy, Darwin would be a great match for you....but only if you are truly ready to make a lifetime commitment. March 07 - This fluffy boy came to us as a stray. We think he may be a Leonberger cross but it's hard to tell. He is very sweet, friendly, playful and has very good manners. We have been working with him here on basic obedience and is a very smart boy. He knows to sit, stay, come, lay down and heels perfectly on a leash, unless he sees a bird. He gets very excited and seems to want to play with them! He's not agressive at the sight of birds, other dogs, people or children. He has been very well mannered with everyone he has encountered. He is quite a big boy and appears to be anywhere from 2-5 years old. This big boy has already peaked some interest so come quickly if you think this guy would make a good family addition.
