You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dawn came to the shelter from the city pound when her legal hold time expired. She's a strong and muscular pit bull type dog who is about 3 years old. She's really quite beautiful. She does have a particularly interesting vocal style when she's excited. She has been vet checked and spayed and her fee is $150. Dawn is a happy, affectionate, and athletic girl who loves people. We do think she could do well with a well mannered male dog. We're thinking she'd be best in a home without small kids due to her strength. Cats? We have no way of knowing. She will require some basic obedience training but seems happy and eager to please. Exercise is a definite must to keep her happy. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
