Declan was found running the streets and was picked up by local animal control. No one claimed him, so the officers reached out to us (knowing we LOVE our ancient Asian breeds!) and Declan came to HHR to find his forever home.
Declan can be a bit aloof, but is very friendly compared to the average Chow Chow. He has a ton of personality and loves to run and play. He is simultaneously dignified and a goofball. He knows he's beautiful and appreciates dotage. He is still adjusting to other dogs, but has done wonderfully with the female dogs he has met in his foster home. Declan requires a home with breed (or similar breed- Akita, Shiba, Shar Pei) experience. He is still nervous around some men. No small children for Declan.
Declan is a young adult (our vet thinks two years old at most). He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. He is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
