Delilah

Delilah is a love muffin.. crazy for people.. always wiggly saggy and ready to kiss you!!! has kept us smiling from the moment she arrived at the rescue! She packs so many wonderful traits into her toned, sleek jet black figure. "Dee", as many affectionately call her, is as intelligent as she is beautiful and as loving as she is athletic. She brings an energy that keeps you on your toes and a joy that lets you know you truly have found a companion in her. Delilah possesses a combination of smarts and eagerness to please that make her a training dynamo! She is always ready to learn something new or show off an already acquired skill. Recently we've added long (15 ft) loose leash sniffy walks to her daily activities. She loves it! Most dogs do!! Even a 15 minute free tour around one of the fields makes her day.. a long hike around the perimeter of the farm & exploring large paddocks is a dream come true for Delightful Delilah! She grins while following her nose delighting in tracking a scent.. she always checks in to see what your thinking and will eagerly return to your side when asked. She has a lot of training and knows clicker really well. Time with Delilah in the yard can be a whirlwind of fun. It could go from playing fetch to racing round in circles to even splashing around in the kiddie pool on a hot summer day. Delilah is always down for adventure and activity, and then joyfully accepts some TLC once she's tuckered out. Delilah is also a great indoor companion.. she's often our office dog! She gets free choice of what and where to be.. likes to chase balls.. and interact but will also happily chill out on a bed and enjoy messing with toys.. We do fondly call her Delilah DestructO because she does destroy normal dog toys if given the opportunity!! She takes great pleasure in shredding, disemboweling .. we have actually come upon her, glowing with pride and pleasure, laying in a fluffy cloud of toy stuffing.. ! She so enjoys chewing & we offer her items made for her particular style of chewing!!
