Meet Dewey! Dewey is a sweet dog who has captured the heart of so many us after he was featured as a BARC Star of the week. Poor Dewey came to BARC on June 14, 2006 and has lived in his kennel for ...more than 4 months! Throughout this time he has remained sweet, people friendly, happy to accept what little kindness anyone (or animal, he gets along with other dogs well!) has to offer. We think Dewey is a sharpei mix -- he has the ears and softness of that breed. Dewey is about 1.5 years old, so this is as big as he gets. He is around 30 pounds. He is heartworm negative.
DEWEY is generous in his love once he overcomes his shyness. He plays well with other dogs and just wants an owner that will love him and give him the occasional pet and smile. Are you the special person for our sweet little Dewey?? He has been patiently waiting for the right person to come into his life...are you Dewey's special person??? Due to a shortage of foster homes, poor Dewey is having to be kenneled and is need of a foster home that can keep him until he finds his forever home.
