Dexter

Dexter came to us from a local shelter. He is a 6-7 year old Shih Tzu, currently 11 pounds but could use to put on a little bit of weight. He was in pretty bad shape when animal services brought him in, dehydrated, hungry and covered in burrs. He got a summer haircut immediately and feels much better. The vet gave him a clean bill of health as well. We are still getting to know and see his full personality. Some of the basics: He is potty trained, will go outside and uses the potty pad when we are not home, but can be put in a crate as well. He rides well in the car and sits in his booster seat the entire ride. He has been good with his foster dog siblings. He hasn't played with them, but is content to co-exist with them. He sleeps in bed at night with his humans and enjoys this and laying on the couch with you. He will want a family that will let him cuddle with them. He demands his pets every single night. He is pretty low maintenance and will not require alot of walking or exercise. He did well with the groomer and will require regular haircuts and baths. We will continue to update this posting as we learn more about this sweet guy! Dexter is fully vetted, spayed and micro chipped, his adoption fee is $275.
