Why Choose Me? Wow! Since Diesel has settled in a little at the shelter and started getting time with other dogs, he has flourished! He's friendly and self-confident at this point, even strutting a little when he's walked. He does great with female dogs and more submissive male dogs; while he isn't a problem with more dominant male dogs, it is clear he's more of a lady's man. * * * * * Diesel is a sweet little guy. He barked at me for a bit when I first met him, but I was able to leash him without a problem. I took him on a walk on the trail behind the shelter, and he started to relax when we got away from the barking dogs. He was a little nervous (avoidant) when I took him into play groups with other dogs. Diesel has hair loss on his hindquarters/tail but has been treated so it's just a matter of time until his back half is as beautiful as his front. Because he is very nervous at meeting new people and his skin needs to heal some before he is neutered, he is only available to licensed rescues right now.
