Dill - 2 years old, located in Florida Rescue ID#: 230262-P-D-VA Intake Date: April 1, 2023 Available Date: April 16, 2023 Dill has never met a stranger. "A stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet,” he says. Even our somewhat ornery cat begrudgingly gives Dill the nod and shares the bed with him. “A Christmas Miracle!” And a testament to his wonderful disposition. Dill is playful, energetic and oh so sweet. He’s believed to be somewhere around 2-4 years old, but his energy level suggests a number toward the younger range. He’s learning to walk on a leash but needs practice, practice, practice. He figured out the doggy door in record time and loves to spend time in the backyard and dog park with his new siblings and anyone that will run with him. Since he has a dog door and 24/7 access to the yard, he may need an adjustment period during which he learns to let others know when he needs to go out. After a spell living in the wild, Dill is steadily gaining weight and will eat just about anything. He’s not very keen on broccoli unless it’s dipped in wet dog food, but he does love cherry tomatoes! Dill is a master cuddler and sleeps in the bed. He’s been left uncrated in the house when I leave for work but he would definitely do best in a home with another playful dog or two. He can turn into a couch potato quite quickly, but he should be exercised daily. We walk twice a day for about a half hour each time and he loves those walks!
