Dipper

Meet Dipper! He is a 7 month old, male, Anatolian Shepherd/Greyhound mix. Dipper and his sister (Mabel, who has her own listing here on our Petfinder!) are a dynamic duo who are always ready for a new adventure! They love to be outside playing and exploring the world. Dipper a bit more reserved than his sister and tends to take the sit back and wait approach in new situations. However, once he has thoroughly assessed the situation he is more than happy to be your new best friend. Dipper was found as a stray and sadly never claimed by an owner. Due to this, we unfortunately don't know much about his history. He gets along great with his sister and seems interested in our other dogs. He also briefly met one of our office cats and did well, but he was nervous around them. We always recommend a meet and greet with any pets in the home prior to adoption so you can be sure Dipper is the right dog for your family. He has also met some kids here and did well with them, but he is a little scared of strangers. Anyone with children will need to supervise them around Dipper until he feels fully comfortable, as loud noises or anyone running towards him does scare him. Since Dipper was a stray, we don't know what level of training he has received, but it doesn't seem like he has much. His future owner will need to dedicate some time to work on obedience and housetraining. Please keep in mind, too, that moving to a new home is stressful for any dog, and Dipper would greatly appreciate some patience as he navigates his new normal. Dipper is such a special dog, though, that he is definitely worth the effort! Dipper has received his first round of vaccinations and is ready to find his forever home!
