DITA came to us and it was thought she was pregnant, but turns out she's just a little full-figured! Her foster raves about her - she's about 60 lbs of pure love and positive energy and loves attention. She's estimated 6-8 yrs old but does't act like a senior, more like a lazy couch potato. She's housebroken, ignores cats, is good with other dogs, is super gentle, and uses her crate on her own. She's a quiet lady who's good on a leash and does enjoy walks, but not much of a player. Her foster says she's a super cute and fun dog with her little snorts and snores. Turn-key dog is their description! She did come to us positive for heartworm (that's where some of the bloat comes from where they thought she might be pregnant). She's receiving treatment which will take a number of months to complete and then she'll be retested. Any treatment required to get her to a HW- status will be covered by the rescue. She also will be spayed nad microchipped after she tests negative. Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
