Django

Meet Django! Django is a Husky/ Shepherd mix who is just under two years old. This boy was surrendered to us after his owners could no longer care for him due to medical reasons, and sadly just couldn't give him the attention he deserved. In typical breed fashion Django is full of energy and would benefit from a home who is familiar with his needs and can keep up with him! He does do the husky "nip" when he wants your attention, however he listens to his commands and is treat/toy motivated. He would benefit from a home with someone who can help guide him and continue training him. His owner said he often forgot that he isn't tiny and believes he is a lap dog and loves to snuggle on the couch and sleep in the bed, so hopefully you like warm toes! He does know some basic commands such as "sit", "paw", "off", "down", and "take it nice", and is very polite when taking treats and waiting for his food. He walks well on the leash but does get distracted and tends to want to play and rough-house, (this is where those treats and toys really come in handy!). Django is completely house-trained and waits patiently to go out. While Django was around other dogs and kids when he was younger, we have not had the chance to test him, and it has been a while since he has been around them. Meet and greets would be required of any other dogs in the household, and we also have not tested him with cats, however he did not seem to react towards them during intake.
