My name is Doc. I am only 1 year old and I am so sad because my human died. That is why someone took me to a shelter in Missouri. I was really sad then, because there was nobody there to hold me or tell me everything was going to be OK. Then one day, there was a commotion. Someone was coming to get some dogs and take them to Oklahoma. Where in the world is that? I hope it's not too far. My other Westie friends and I kept hoping we would be the ones that got to go and sure enough, the lady came right to us!

She told us that it was going to be OK and that she would take care of us. She then put us in the car and we had to ride a very long time. When she got us out of our crates, boy were we surprised. There were lots of other doggies just like us waiting to welcome us into the pack!

From there it is all a blur. I got a haircut, a bath, my ears cleaned and a brand new collar and tag. Boy was I handsome! (see pictures) I like toys, other dogs and cuddling with my humans. I get a little frightened sometimes, but I get used to things quickly. I walk well on a leash (love those walks!) and I am potty trained. What more could you ask for?
