Duchess

Most of our dogs are at the shelter but some are in foster homes. Before being adopted all dogs will spend 2 weeks in quarantine, receive 2 sets of vaccines, be dewormed twice, if over 6 months of age they will be tested for heart worms, and they will be spayed or neutered. The local adoption fee is $100. The out of state adoption fee is $125 which does not include transportation fees. 4/22/09 Duchess is such a sweet and loving little dog. She came to the Humane Society after she was taken from a family that was not taking care of her. She was nursing two puppies at that time. She was such a great mom too. We discovered she had heartworm disease and because she was so sweet and lovable someone donated the money to have her treated for heartworms. She has now completed her treatment and is waiting for her spay appointment. She would definitely do better in a home with no children because of her previous home. She really had not had a lot of love and attention until she arrived here.
