My Story

This handsome lug is a local owner surrender and he’s finally ready to find his forever people! He’s a big guy, but full of love! Dug's a wire haired griffon and Rottweiler mix and is all puppy at 1 year old. Dug needed some help with manners when he came into rescue and his foster family has been working diligently with him. His bad habit of jumping has pretty much subsided. And his overstimulation mouthing is much more of a light love nibble now. He’s still in his toddler stage, so will still need reminders about right and wrong, and a family to continue to show him how to be the best dog. He loooves playing with other dogs, it’s his favorite past time. And his second favorite is to torment the cat; a cat free home would probably be best. And though, he’s come a long ways on jumping and love nibbles, he’d do better with older kids. He kennel trained, and house trained for the most part. If he gets too sidetracked outside, he forgets to potty and magically remembers when he comes back inside. With more positive reinforcement and a potty dance outside, we are confident this can be fixed in no time! Dug is vocal! If you’re doing something wrong, he has no filter and will tell you. Aroooooo! He’s perfect if you tend to talk to yourself, the neighbors won’t think you’re crazy, because he will talk back He’s amazing on leash, and has learned property boundaries at his foster home. And the vets swoon over him, he’s a very good boy for them and he does great in the bath! He’s an all-around good boy who just needs some polishing!
