Duke

Say hello to Duke! His foster calls him Dukey, this sweet and cautious boy is already house & crate trained. He currently will go into his crate willingly and uses it as his safe space. Mr Duke loves his backyard at his foster home, he is playful and enjoys playing with the other small dog. Duke's ideal home would be one with a fenced yard and another playful dog to keep him company! His foster says he is a sweet, lovable and bouncy dog that just wants to fit in! Duke is a good boy and deserves a loving home, can it be you? FOSTER UPDATE!Duke (aka Dukey-doo) is a very curious, timid and loving boy! Happy when he feels comfortable, plays well with other dogs. No aggression. With toys youll have to worry more about him destroying them before fighting or being aggressive about it. Does play friendly tug-of-war type of play with bear. No food aggression with humans or dogs. Is still timid of taking treats from your hand and we are working on that. He Understands basic commands sit, and bed which is his crate. Treat and outside seem to spark interest and were working on stay.Crate and potty trained. He will paw at the door to signal that he wants out or back inside. He has recently discovered the couch and loves it. Duke has not been great with the feeling of being restrained, with a leash for example. He has a collar on all the time and trying with small intervals of leash at home. This is coming along and theres definitely potential. He is also working on the stairs being less scary! His tail is almost always wagging with his foster family but is still timid of company. Typically he retreats to a safe spot which is the comfy couch with the pillows and blankets. He loves the sound of his own voice and has a husky type trait of needing to respond if he doesnt agree. He loves attention and being pet. He loves cuddles and being with the family.
