MEET DUNCAN!!! Hello, I'm Duncan: Gentle, Affectionate, Ready to Love and Play! Nice to meet you, I'm Duncan! My journey hasn't been easy, but I've learned to bounce back from whatever life throws my way, with love, gentleness, and resilience. They say I might have been a bait dog before, with these scars and torn ears to show for it. I do know for sure that I was abandoned, then hit and drug under a car before being picked up by the county, where I was e-listed. Luckily, that is NOT the end of my story. I found safety and kindness with my foster mom and i'm now ready for my chance to have a happily ever after. When I first meet new people, I can be a bit shy, and I do have some leash fear. I guess that's because I wasn't always treated kindly before. But rest assured, I don't have an ounce of aggression in me and have never so much as even growled. Even when I was hurting and my wounds were being treated after I got hit by the car, I always maintained my sweet spirit while the humans that saved me dress my wounds, because I trusted that they loved me and were trying to help me get a better life. ,And here's the secret: I absolutely adore treats! Food is the way to my heart, and once I know you have goodies for me, we'll be friends in no time. I've been described as a gentle soul, and I think that's pretty accurate. I love nothing more than to cuddle up and receive affection. Oh, and don't forget my playful side, I do these cute circle zoomies that always bring a smile to everyone's face. My crate is my safe haven, where I feel secure and cozy. Plus, I'm proud to say I'm completely potty trained! I get along great with cats and kids. I haven't had dog introductions but I have not been reactive to other dogs so I'd probably okay with dogs too, as long as we take things slow at first. I already know a few tricks like sit, come, and lay down, and I'm eager to learn more. What I really dream of, though, is finding a forever home where I can be loved unconditionally.
