Dwight - Pending adoption

Dwight is a 1 year old Aussie mix who weighs 21# and still needs to put on a few more. Dwight is a very special guy. He came in as a stray who was not claimed. His condition was heartbreaking. The lady who found him was kind enough to bathe and clean him up. Once I met him I knew he needed major TLC. Loaded with fleas and ticks and very underweight we got started on freeing him of all the nasty bugs and parasites. It was very evident that physically he was uncared for, but also mentally under socialized and fearful. Fast forward to now. Dwight is allowing pets and loves to play with stuffed toys. He definitely needs another dog in the home and will follow their lead. Slow intros and patience are required. All he needs is TIME to feel safe and comfortable. Dwight does require a secure fenced yard. Children over the age of 10 are preferred. We are still working on housebreaking and we are 90% there. While Dwight is crate trained he much prefers being out with his people. Cats are fine.
