My Story

Did somebody say tummy rubs? My name is Egbert and I am addicted to tummy rubs because they are FANTASTIC. In fact, when I am getting tummy rubs is about the only time I stand still. I am a super outgoing pupper who just needs to investigate everything. It is so much fun to run around and sniff everything when I get to be out of my exercise pen, especially when I find the toy bin and get to play with all the toys. I love toys. I will go and go and go until I get so tired I just flop down and fall asleep. I am working on my potty training with a potty pad because I don't have enough shots to work on outside potty yet. For a little boy who just got rescued from the scary shelter, I am doing really, really good with potty training. I have not had any accidents outside my pen. A couple of times I have missed the edge of the potty pad inside my pen, but I was darn close. I play well with other doggies, but I have not been exposed to little human children or other pets. I am respectful and take correction well from the other doggies in my foster home. I also am learning "no" and "off" commands from my foster human pretty quickly. I am learning "no" means to stop doing what I am doing to pay attention to the human. "Off" means not to jump on the furniture or the people. I started out thinking I might be a baby shark and tested everything with my sharp little teeth. My foster human and I are work on appropriate things to chew and why it is not good to bite everything. I really like the yummy treats I get for practicing good behavior so training is going super well so far. I am not a noisy boy and I sleep through the night very well as long as I have my brother or a toy and a blankie to snuggle with. I can get a little excited when I see the resident doggies and/or my foster human first thing in the morning. I jump up and yip with excitement, but I quite down again pretty quickly. My foster human tells me that I am going to grow up to be an amazing doggo boy. So if that is what you are looking for let's have a meet cute some Saturday soon. You come to the RMPR adoption event to meet me and I will bring all the cute you can handle.
