If you are looking for a greyhound that is small and sweet, playful, and already home acclimated, Erika would be perfect. She is one of the smaller greyhounds around at just 54 lbs. She has been in a home as a pet but now needs to find a new home because her owner has become ill and can no longer take care of her. Erika has lived in a home with cats and other greyhounds, and gets along great with both. She is already house trained, walks nicely on a leash, rides fine in a car or SUV, and has a great personality. She absolutely LOVES her toys. Although she is six years old, Erika really thinks she is still a puppy or at least she runs and plays like one.
Erika is a pretty red fawn with a white face. Her mother has an unusual name: Flying Kleenex! It makes you wonder who came up with that name. Despite her small size, Erika was quite a good racing dog. She competed in 183 races at Flagler Greyhound Track in Miami, Tampa Greyhound Track, and Derby Lane in St. Petersburg. She had a long and successful career on the track, and really deserves a good home as a pet. She is so cute and friendly, that she would do well in a home with children.
