Ernesto

Meet Ernesto Spot Baltimore - we call him Ernie for short! He is a sweet, social boy who would love to cuddle his way into your heart. As an adult (~6 years-old), he is relaxed at home but still excited to adventure with you. Some of Ernesto's favorite things are fetch (especially with tennis balls), squeaky toys, other dogs, running, hiking, fresh snow, and a yummy stuffed kong. He had good meets at the shelter and has enjoyed pack walks with other dogs. When he's at home, he enjoys napping all day long while we are working at our desks. He loves all people that he has met and is always happy to say hello to a stranger on a walk, if they ask to pet him, or a guest in our home. He would love to join your welcoming committee! Ernesto was found as a stray in West Philadelphia in December 2023, and he is still learning to feel safe and loved. He is working through separation anxiety and improving quickly - he will need a patient adopter to continue working with him. He is fully housetrained and has never had an accident or marked in our home. Ernesto is very treat-motivated and learns quickly.
