Ernie

Meet Ernie! Ernie was taken from a hoarding situation where there were 8 other dogs in the same household, and we are pretty sure he is the daddy of them all. Ernie is approximately 5 years old and we believe he is a beagle mixed. He sure will bay like one when he wants your attention! He is around 40 lbs and has a little crooked tail that is really cute. We believe it was previously broken and healed crooked, but it does not cause him any pain. Ernie is very sweet and loves to play outside with his ball and to roll in the grass that he likely never had been on before we rescued him. He is quiet in his kennel unless he sees you, then he bays to get your attention. He loves car rides and will jump right in the front seat of any door that he sees open. While a fenced-in yard is not required, it is preferred. Ernie has done well with other dogs and lived in a household with so many cats he was attacking them over food so we do not suggest he goes to a home with feline friends. Requirements for Adoption: **Must live in the Central Ohio area ( within 45 miles of our office) For rescues/shelters across Ohio, visit: ColumbusDogConnection.com/RescuesShelters.html **Must be over the age of 24 to adopt. **Your resident pets must be spayed/neutered.? **There is an adoption agreement and adoption fees are as follows: $300 for Adult Dogs $100 for Cats Adoption Process: **We do not have an application. Adoptions are pet-adopter driven. **To meet our pets: Call our office at 614-471-9000 or click on the pet which you are interested in and send email. **The foster dogs are in foster homes and most of the cats reside at our office. **The adoption process includes a lease manager reference (if applicable), a veterinarian reference, and a home visit. **The pooch that visits your home will go back home with us to allow your family to discuss and ensure he/she is a good fit for your home.? **All pets are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested (dogs), FIV/leukemia tested (cats), & micro-chipped. **Known medical conditions are discussed at time of inquiry.
