Espiga

Meet Espiga the night warrior! He was found by some friendly people in the late hours of the night, wandering around their neighborhood. He was brought to safety by our wonderful ACO's who said he was super sweet and allowed handling all over. He's a young guy who just wants your love! Can you provide him with that? He didn't pull at all and walked nicely next to me. In the yard, he didn't have much interest in toys, following me around instead. He was a little jumpy but was able to be redirected. He took treats nicely and enjoyed pets. 7/26 Per volunteer-- Espiga presented to front of kennel and was easily leashed. He walked nicely through the kennels and very wiggly/excited seeing people. He happily greeted an animal care attendant and accepted all over petting. Once outside he peed. We did a dog meet with Bruno who was playful and wiggly. Espiga approached with some caution and politely sniffed Bruno. Bruno attempted to play with Espiga, but Espiga appeared conflicted. Espiga did well sniffing and being in the presence of another dog. He would be stiff and lip lick at moments so the dog meet was ended. Espiga may warm up more to a more calm/less playful dog and need additional time to warm up.
