My Story

Please request an application via email or by a Petfinder request. We suggest checking your junk mail as we answer all emails within 24- 48 hours. Adoption fee: At this time we believe Piper and Fender are just too bonded to seperate. They will need to be adopted together. Fee is $300 for the pair. Piper and Fender are available for our foster-to-adopt program. This gives you time to get to know them before completing the adoption. Please ask about it. Only available to people within the metro area. DOB Approx. 6-6-2023 Gender: male Altered: YES Breed: mixed breed Approx weight now: 52 pounds Approx Weight Grown: 50-55? We do not know parents' weight so just guessing based on what He is now. He shouldn't get much bigger. Dog-friendly: Yes Cat-friendly: there is a cat in the home but the cat does not let them get close Kid-friendly: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Benefit From Formal Training: Yes- all dogs benefit from classes. Energy level: Moderate Fender is a sweet snuggly boy. He will shy away or do things on his terms but if you are sitting on the couch beware. He will be your best friend. He is curious about the cat. He is doing well with the dogs and kids. We are working on leash walking as he doesn't have much experience with it and it getting better every day. His previous foster just let them outside in the fence. He is a very gentle soul that is so full of love. They sleep with us most nights and love to be with us on the couch. They crate very nicely together and are quiet. Sometimes we find them sleeping in there when the door is open. We have taken them to to dog park and camping. Also out on the boat fishing. At first they were petrified of the water but now they are getting more and more curious every time they go to the lake. They do fairly well at come when called when of leash and we have allowed them time off leash out of the fence. Our dog park at the lake is huge so it is a great place to practice many things. Piper and Fender will be nervous at first. They are submissive and big chickens. When guests come over they stay away and only come to people as they start to feel comfortable with them. They will need some time to acclimate to their new homes. Once they do they will be your forever friends. We just need a family willing to give them a chance. At this time we believe they are just too bonded to seperate so they will need to be adopted together. It is $300 for the pair.
