Fennec

Fennec is a goofy young boy who loves people and cuddling on the couch if given the chance. He does fantastically in a crate at night or when we need to leave the house. He still acts like a puppy so he does become destructive if bored. Mental stimulations like peanut butter kong toys or snuffle mats have been a wonder for him. He is currently living with 2 cats and 1 dog, he has learned to give them space but does become possessive occasionally. He’s learned so quickly and does best with a routine, he does great on the leash and will do anything for a treat. We are working on jumping up and some simple commands. He has not been introduced to children yet. He is more timid around men but has never shown any aggression toward people and even when he challenges our other pets, he backs down quickly when challenged back. He needs someone to trust and show him that life doesn’t have to be so scary anymore If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Fennec is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.
