THIS IS A COURTESY POST, please do not contact ARC, contact for Frankie and Willie is at the end of this post. Frankie and Willie were purchased as puppies from a breeder to be hunting dogs. They are currently 2 years young and when they were 1 year old they were taken to a gun club for assessment and training. They have been kenneled at the gun club for a year so these sweet boys have spent their entire young lives in a dog kennel. They could be described as reluctant hunters (thank you for the tag term Jennifer) at best. They will go out in the field but when the guns are fired they run back to the kennels. When the owner was told that they are not good hunt prospects he told the gun club owners to just keep them that he wasn't coming to get them. The owners of the gun club really need rescue to take them, otherwise they will be turned into a shelter. These are sweet, loving velcro boys that only want the opportunity to join a family that will love, treasure and train them; which they so deserve. They are affectionate and loving to people. They will be fully vetted before placement. We are looking for someone to adopt them OR foster them for Above and Beyond OR foster them with first option to adopt. They do not need to go together.
