Freyja-Adoption Pending

This is 2 year old Freyja, she is a shaded red dachshund girl weighing in under 10 pounds. She is potty trained and loves her “person”. Is that you? She does well around most dogs, so a meet and greet with current dogs in your home will be a must. She’s fine around cats, can be curious but doesn’t chase. She is doing well in a kennel, will be vocal at first but is learning it's ok. She loves to sleep in bed at night with you. She is a typical dachshund in that she’s a barker. So, no apartment or shared wall dwellers will be considered. She walks on harness and leash but gets excited and likes to pull, some help with those manners will be needed. She’s young and deserves someone committed to making her a part of their family. If you think she is your girl, let us arrange for you to meet her. All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies and Distemper/Parvo, they are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopter's name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees. The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $350. We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. Decided by what is best for each dog individually.) We are willing to adopt out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog. We do not transport or ship dogs.
