Hey there! I'm Gator, a brave little pup with a big heart, looking for a forever home where I can grow and explore with someone special. You might notice I'm a pug/beagle mix, which means I've got the loyalty of a pug and the curiosity of a beagle, all rolled into one adorable package. I had a pretty rough start so I'm pretty picky about who I let get close to me, but with patience and love, I'm learning that the world isn't so scary after all. I'm hoping to find a home with someone who understands that I will need a little extra reassurance as I continue to build my confidence. A patient family who can give me the love and encouragement I need would be perfect. Another doggy friend to help me learn the ropes an absolute must as is a fenced back-yard, and no young kids either. My Promise to You: If you give me a chance, I'll show you just how brave and loving I can be. I might start out shy, but with your help, I'll blossom into the fearless companion you've always wanted. Could you be the one to help me write my next chapter? Let's meet and find out - I promise, you won't regret it! Our adoption process is usually quick but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application on our website, PawsUp4Rescue.org/adopting as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require them to be present at the meeting to ensure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption. If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and will gladly consider your family for another dog.
