Gertrude

Hi, my name is Gertrud. I found myself lost in the streets one day and was running scared until someone called out to me and took me home. I came to them straight away, so happy to get off the scary streets. Unfortunately, nobody seems to have been looking for me, so now I am searching for a forever home. Currently, I am staying with a foster family with three other dog siblings and an eight year old boy. I fit right in and got along with everyone right away, even my grumpy Chihuahua foster brother. My favorite days are when I can play with the other dogs in the yard, go on a nice walk with everyone and then just hang out with my foster parents. I’m pretty clever and like learning new tricks. I also love pets and cuddles. The only thing I really don’t like is staying home alone. I get anxious and therefore would love to live with a family that can take me along to their adventures, so I don’t have to be home alone so much. I’m really well behaved and already have been on a hiking trip and even to a bar! My foster family says I did great all around! I’ve got a lot of love to give and hope to meet my forever family soon! I am vaccinated and will be spayed soon. I am available for adoption in the Houston area.
