My Story

About Me: Hi there! My name is Gnarls Barkley, and I'm a dashing and sophisticated German Shepherd. I was found as a stray along with my brother, CeeLo. After being taken to the Garrett Holding Facility for 5 days with no one coming forward to claim us, we were picked up by the kind folks at the Dekalb Humane Society. Now, I'm on the lookout for a loving forever home where I can be the center of attention. My Personality: I'm a darling guy who absolutely loves attention and playtime. Just like my brother, I'm quite sophisticated and have a gentle demeanor. I get along well with other dogs, but to ensure everyone is comfortable, meet and greets are always required before adoption. Special Considerations: Because of my breed and my nature, it would be safer for me and any feline friends if I'm in a home without cats. However, that decision is ultimately up to my potential adopters. I thrive in an environment where I can get plenty of love, attention, and exercise to keep me happy and healthy. Requirements for Adoption: Meet and greets with any other animals in the home. Consideration for a home without cats due to my breed. I'm excited to meet my new family and show them just how wonderful life with a German Shepherd can be. If you think we could be a perfect match, please come meet me and see if we can make each other happy! Come meet Gnarls Barkley at the adoption center and find out if he's the perfect addition to your family! An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are a free will donation.
