My Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Meet Grace: Your Perfect Hound-Mix Companion! Grace is a beautiful soul and a super sweet, mild-mannered hound mix who thrives in the company of her humans and doggie friends. Imagine a cat in a dog’s body! She is 6 years old and 55 pounds. Grace loves to relax, take naps on her dog bed, and especially enjoys snuggly naps with her favorite humans. She is fantastic with children, including young children, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, needing a furry friend in her new home to keep her company. Grace is house and potty trained, making her an easy addition to your family. However, she is not comfortable being crated, so a crate-free environment is best for her. She does have some anxieties (needs a friendly companion dog or two in her new home since a companion makes her feel much calmer) and a fear of thunderstorms (she is fine if she is with you). Her current owner, who can no longer provide the stable home Grace deserves due to personal commitments, is seeking a loving home with a fenced-in yard where Grace can run, play, and feel secure. The fence will need to be 5 feet high. NO invisible fencing please. She does enjoy walks but is a strong girl. She has been around dog savvy cats before but would probably be best in a home without cats. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who’s great with kids and other dogs, Grace is the perfect addition to your family. Give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves. Grace does need a companion dog in her home so should not be adopted as an only dog. She will also greatly appreciate and thrive in a new home in which someone is home much of the time and in which she is an integral part of daily family life. Adoption donation $175 Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet. HOW TO APPLY: 1. Go to www.lppnc.org 2. Click on the "Adoption Application" link on the left side of the page. 3.
